If you have been seen by your doctor at the premises in the last 12 months, your doctor may agree to have your consultation by telephone or videoconferencing.
Doctors consulting from Casino Medical Centre use Health Direct Video Call for telehealth consults. The Health Direct Video Call service follows the applicable Australian Government Information Security Manual for cyber security guidelines and safeguards privacy and does not store patient or call data.
To have a telehealth consultation with your doctor, you will need access to a quiet, private space; and an appropriate device (ie smartphone, laptop, iPad, computer with a camera, microphone and speakers) and a reliable broadband internet connection.
Your doctor determines the fees they will charge for a telehealth consultation, which are generally the same as a face-to-face consultation.
